Death By Confetti - Poster

The "Death by Confetti" poster is inspired by the skeleton-strewn painting series of the same name. As a critique of the oppressive (and often soul-draining) atmosphere of Hollywood and the paparazzi, Johnny's psychedelic confetti can be interpreted as the barrage of flash from countless paparazzi, or the sugar-coated, artificial promise of the Hollywood Dream, both of which inevitably lead to the skeleton's internal and external collapse. The painting's darkly comedic nature is hinted at through the gothic lettering and the pitch-black, gaping spaces.
